a safe and simple baby skincare routine

a safe and simple baby skincare routine

April 01, 2019

us adults have a skincare routine we swear by, so why shouldn’t our little ones? baby’s skin is super soft and delicate, so it is crucial we take extra care and give it the love and attention it needs.

bath time

bathing your child is the first step in their routine. make sure to use lukewarm water so it is not too hot for their skin. water can actually dry out your little one's skin so we suggest short baths. during bath time use a calming wash that is dermatologically tested, eco-friendly, certified organic, gentle, and safe on your baby’s skin. our gentle shampoo bodywash or our organic soap is perfect as it cleanses and soothes.

soothe and moisturise

babies skin is sensitive and is prone to dryness and irritation, so keeping their skin hydrated after bath time is a must! we recommend using a lotion, followed by a face cream. our organic bodysoft lotion is great for everyday use as it includes organic sunflower oil, shea butter, jojoba oil and cocoa seed butter which all help to keep their skin well moisturised. on the days where their skin needs a little extra tlc our organic soothing ointment is great to apply on any irritated areas as it helps to calm the skin.

you wouldn’t use your body moisturiser on your own face so why would you do the same to your baby? rosy red cheeks may look cute, but they are also a sign of skin irritation such as eczema, one of the most common skin conditions in babies. our organic face cream helps to keep the face moisturised and calms the skin.

final step

to complete your little one's skincare routine apply our organic barrier cream after each nappy change - super gentle and so good for a baby’s bottom. an incredible protective barrier cream for redness and the irritation of nappy rash. organic certified and dermatologically tested to reassure you that your baby’s precious bits are protected.
